Real-World Evidence for Decisions in Diabetes

REDDIE Partners at EASD Annual Meeting 2024

From September 9th to 13th, the 60th European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting will bring together the brightest minds in diabetes research in Madrid.

Among the contributors, there are many REDDIE partners who will present their work on using real-world data (RWD) to complement randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and enhance diabetes treatment.

The REDDIE project focuses on leveraging RWD from national registries, electronic health records, and wearable devices to fill gaps left by RCTs, especially in long-term conditions like diabetes. During the EASD meeting, several REDDIE partners will host sessions and discuss the advancements in diabetes research.

Prior to the EASD annual meeting on September 8th, REDDIE will hold the second Stakeholder Meeting in Madrid. The goal is to bring together key stakeholders—ranging from healthcare professionals and policymakers to regulatory authorities and people living with diabetes—to review the progress of the project and ensure that REDDIE's work continues to address challenges in diabetes treatment.

This meeting will allow stakeholders to offer valuable feedback, ensuring that the project remains aligned with patient and clinical needs while adhering to regulatory standards.

By engaging stakeholders and presenting at EASD 2024, the REDDIE consortium continues to lead the way in advancing the integration of real-world data into diabetes care, offering hope for more personalised and effective treatments for people living with diabetes.
